Welcome to the registration page for the 2025 Grotto Climbing Annual - Grotto Lotto competition ! This is our 3rd community competition hosted at Grotto Climbing Miramar. This is a competition for climbers of all skill levels and abilities.

Pricing

Early bird registration: $39 (Registration Begins 8/1)

Day of registration fee: $49 

Competition Format:

  • 1 Round - Modified Redpoint. 

  • Categories:

  • Skill levels: Beginner v0-v3, Intermediate v3-v5, Advanced V6-v9, 

  • Genders: Female, Male

  • Each category will be assigned 16 Boulders with 10 attempts each. Climbers will be scored on Zones and Tops. 1 point for Zone and 2 points for Top. 

  •  Format: Modified Redpoint

    • You will have 3 hours to send as many of the boulders in your category as possible. (flashing all 16 of your boulders would be the best possible score.)

  • Comp Timeline 

    • Session 1

      • 9:00 - 10:00 am: Competitor Check-in & Warm-up

      • 9:45 - 10:00 am: Competitor Rules Meeting

      • 10:00 - 1:00 pm: Climbing Time

      • 1:30pm - 2:00pm: Awards Ceremony

Rules:

  • Participants compete as individuals 

  • Participants can only compete in one category. 

  • Competitors have 3 hours to climb as many routes as possible, but they are welcome to arrive late or leave early.

  • Competition format is modified redpoint (competitors get points for Zones or a clean send of the route (Top)).

  • The Top 3 competitors of each category will podium.
